A Call to Action! Film, Activism, and Creativity at the Killingly Public Library!
PCFF has been working over the last year to help broaden the reach of films from past festivals by partnering with libraries to educate and inform them about the world of independent and international cinema. We have recommended film titles to help build library film collections and offered suggestions on how to present movies with post-film conversations or presentations.
Inspired by past programming of the Providence Children’s Film Festival, the Killingly Public Library is planning a film screening event designed to help stimulate teen’s minds while they question the apathy of “Generation Me”. After the film there will be time for discussion of the film with resources explaining how to youth can take action for things that matter to them.
